NO BOOK REPORT DUE! The book report will soon be continued but right now I'm working on getting a timed writing assignment up and running to prepare for the writing test in May. Students will be provided with the two texts Friday. They will be expected to read both texts, take "CLOSE" notes on the two texts, and create an outline/plan for what they will write in response to the provided writing prompt. The following Monday or Tuesday they will be asked to write this writing prompt in class with a time constraint. There will be occassions where students will not be given the writing prompt ahead of time so that they are getting a better similation of the test they will receive in May.
