A little about our NEW School Wide Discipline Plan.
The Following is information that we covered in our First Day material. It is essential to your school success, and new to our school so please familiarize this discipline plan. An up dated supplies list is below.
DISCIPLINE PLAN:
There are 3 areas in which you may find yourself earning a step.
1. Classroom Misconduct: This is anything in the classroom that goes against the teacher’s rules, school’s rules, or is unsafe or unhealthy.
2. Hallway Misconduct: This is anything in the hallway that goes against the policy set up for the hallway, as well as any breaking of school rules.
3. Tardies: (Even first period counts as a tardy IF it is unexcused)
There are 5 steps to the discipline plan:
1.Warning
2.Educational Assignment
3.Early Morning School 7:15-7:45 a.m. Parent Notified
4.8th Period 3:15-4:00 p.m. Parent Notified
5.Dean Referral Parent Notified
AUTOMOATIC DEAN REFERRAL:
1.Profanity
2.Rude or Defiant Behavior
3.Skipping (Defined as 10 minutes of class time)
4.Public Displays of Affection
5.Removal
Removal:
•If you are misbehaving in a teacher’s classroom, and you have been given a step, but have not returned to acceptable behavior you will be asked to move to the removal chair.
•If you go to the removal chair without disrupting class, and without defiance or disrespect you may remain there the rest of class.
•If your behavior continues you will be removed from the classroom environment.
•Removal from a classroom results in a dean referral.
AUTOMATIC ADMINISTRATION REFERRAL
•Fighting
•Disrespect to an adult on campus
•Results in 3 days OSS
What happens when you receive a Dean Referral:
•Restriction 1 100 minutes
•Restriction 2 200 minutes
•Restriction 3 300 minutes
•Saturday School
•Admin Referal
You will have 1 week to completely serve your restriction time. You may do this before school, R&E if you are not pulled, and during lunch time.

Supplies List for My Classroom:1 3 ring binder 1- Plastic folder with prongs and pockets (Office Max has them for .75) 2 Composition Notebooks Colored Pencils (Twistables preferred) 10 Packs of Pencils (no mechanical) 1/2 for the teacher 1/2 for the student 2 Glue Sticks 4 Highlighters 4 Expo Markers (1 Pack) 3 x 5 Lined Note Cards 2 packs 2 Packs of Wide-Ruled Loose Leaf Paper 1 for classroom, 1 for student folder. Pencil Pouch 1 Each of a Blue, Black, Red, Green Ink Pens (Other colors welcome also) Scissors Construction Paper 3 Boxes of Kleenex Clorox wipes Post-It Notes *The 3 ring binder, colored pencils, highlighters, loose leaf paper, pencil pouch, pens, scissors, and construction paper are items that can be shared by my class and any other class that requested it. The items underlined and bold are specifically for my classroom, and will stay in my classroom for your child. General Wish List for the Classroom: Large bag of small sealed candies i.e. Jolly Ranchers, Individual Chocolates, animal crackers, chips, crackers, etc... Ziploc Bags (gallon or quart) Sheet Protectors Plastic folders with prongs and pockets: purple, green, red, yellow, blue, and orange (Office Max has them for .75) The following supplies are recommended but not required: Locker shelf Magnetic locker organizers |
